UMUR Under Siege (Regnum Irae) is an EP release by Brazilian thrash metal act Sepultura, released in connection with the release of the band´s 4th full-length studio album Arise (1991). Under Siege (Regnum Irae) is a 3 track, 12:29 minute long EP. It was released by Roadrunner Records.

The first track on the EP is the title track which is taken directly off Arise, so that´s not where you gonna get your money´s worth even though it´s an excellent track. The 2nd track is a cover of Orgasmatron by Motörhead and what a cover! That´s gotta be one of the greatest Motörhead covers I´ve ever heard. Sepultura took Orgasmatron to the stage on several occassions and it´s always a crowd pleaser. The last track on the EP is a re-recording of Troops of Doom from Sepultura´s debut full-length studio album Morbid Visions (1986) and that´s another winner. A great re-recorded version fully capturing the spirit of the original while further improving it.

So all in all Under Siege (Regnum Irae) is actually a really good EP release. Seen with today´s eyes a 12:29 minute long EP probably seems like a waste of money but I remember when I ( or maybe it was my brother I don´t remember) bought this one and my brother and I played that 45´inch to death. So you´re welcome to put it down to nostalgia but I think this one deserves a 4 star rating. If you substract the nostalgia maybe it´s really a 3.5.
