Judging from the song titles such as 'Wild Child', 'Party With Me', or 'R U Ready', you know that Down N' Dirty ain't joking about giving you a real taste of rock and roll. Eleven tracks spread balancely to quench your thirst for those nostalgic fun times back in the 80s with the likes of Poison and Pretty Boy Floyd. And even Majyk vocal is reminiscent of Steve Summers at some point and while the music has a bit Ratt twist, the riffs are mostly in the style of late-80s glam movement.

"R U Ready" has that chugging AC/DC rhythm, the verse is great but the chorus is lacking something big. Fortunately, "Taste of Rock & Roll" fix that trouble. My first fave track, but then they left you scratching your heads. "Free & Young" has good riffs but overall not a very strong track. "All In" is better but then the ballad "Fallin'" suffered with a boring arrangement.

The mood started to lift on "Wild Child". The Led Zeppelin flair on the riffs, combined with a lethal verse and good chorus, making this one an enjoyable ride. John Mellencamp's cover of "Hurts So Good" is really great. The riffs, the spirit, the party vibe, is just plain awesome. "Party With Me" and "Get It Right" thrust higher and higher, along with "You", I'm pretty convinced, the latter half is much better.

A pleasant release with a great production, but too bad most songs on the first half is struggling from memorable hooks. Pretty Boy Floyd with a slight Ratt and GNR touch is probably the best description of their music. Not very original, I know, but if you enjoy the glam revival on the past few years, 'Taste of Rock and Roll' is another good stuff to try.
