Agiel was a brutal death metal band hailing from Rochester, New York. They officially formed in 1997, and have since disbanded. Agiel had a unique playing style that blended aspects of brutal death metal along with keyboards and synths to have a dark ambient effect on their songs. They were signed to Unique Leader Records for their 'Dark Pantheons Again Will Reign' album, but left Unique Leader shortly after. The only consistent members over the years have been the founders of Agiel: James Taylor and Mike Dillio. In the last few years they had added bassist Rich Buzzell.
James Taylor is in the process of releasing an album with his solo project Zazas; Mike will be laying down some of the guitar tracks. Mike Dillio and Rich Buzzell are working on a collaboration at the moment. Mike has also started his own solo project called Mikro Kvltvre.
