1917 are an Argentinian death metal act formed by brothers Alejandro ( vocals, guitar) and Acho ( bass) Sabransky in 1994. The band play brutal and uncompromising death metal. 1917 released their debut full-length studio album "Inti Huacay" in 1998. Their latest and 5th full-length studio album "Vox Fatum" was released in 2007.

The name 1917 comes from a sculpture which is dated 1917, that inspired one of the band´s first compositions.
