Another great Al Pacino crime film, though this time playing a good guy.

I was actually surprised by how comedic this seemed. I was expecting it to come across as much more serious.

A few days worth here:

Good heist film.

Classic Pacino.

An okay Tim Burton film. I felt like it could have been funnier.

A pretty standard but entertaining 'couple of old farts' comedy.

I'd not heard of this until recently. I consider it a gem.

Good horror movie.

I think The Descent is a great horror movie but I dislike it's ending. I'd hoped this sequel would fix that but it kinda leaves the ending of the first one unresolved and has the main character out of the caves for real (whereas the first movie showed it as a dream all of a sudden) with no explanation. Overall it's a rehash of the first movie in almost every way but they got the same kind of tension right at least.

I was a little worried over the removal of Emily Blunt as the first film's protagonist in this and the change in director as well, but it turned out to be a great action movie in its own right.

Brilliant from start to finish.

This satirises the hell out of the social media generation A.K.A. the kind of people I find ridiculous (which is why I watched it - I'd avoid a movie about people like this and is all #this and #that otherwise). While not as outright amusing as I was hoping, the movie works well as a psychological film. In truth, it's more amusing that RYM has voted down psychological drama as the film's primary genre, which I guess means most people seeing this film consider the dubious protagonist's behaviour as normal. That really fucking worries me.

This one was really great too:

An action Classic from my childhool. I re-watched it with my son, and while it´s a time typical 80s action movie, I still enjoy it for what it is:

An intriguing twist on the police procedural genre that manages to not descend into full-on horror.

Leaves too much unresolved at the end to be considered a great movie. It's like they thought: okay, the action's done, now let's go home.

Sci-fi/AI type movie. Bladerunner is a clear influence. It was alright, but not excellent.

^ Each to their own I guess. I'm rather fond of it personally and consider it one of Scorsese's most underrated films.

I know this is considered a Classic by many, but to me it was a pretty underwhelming experience given the praise it usually receives. I found myself a Little bored along the way:

Not half as funny as I hoped it would be, but it had its moments:

Psychological thriller that combines what might be a standard stalker plot with a secondary plot that the main character accidentally gets herself confirmed in a behavioural institution after signing some 'routine' forms after just going there to talk to a counsellor about her problems. She ends up locked in this place with her stalker and naturally no one believes her and the police won't do anything to get her out. It can get quite twisted at times and it's actually difficult in some instances to feel sympathy for the lead who doesn't always display good judgement and morals herself, especially in a scene shortly before the end but I can't really explain why I felt that way about her without spoiling a major part of the movie. I rate this one highly.

A Little too long, but the caste and some of the nasty scenes were pretty nice:

Excellent cyberpunk action thriller.

Decent revenge thriller from Jeremy Saulnier. A bit too standard compared to his following films Green Room and Hold the Dark, though through that it does lack the confusing plot points of the latter.

For me this film actually got less and less compelling as it went on and the end felt rather anticlimactic.

This was a good one.

Merely okay, as Eastwood movies go.

Very good 50's western.

Ditto. Looking forward to checking out more Anthony Mann/James Stewart westerns.

Re-watch. For me, this one is a sci-fi gem. That train crash sequence is one hell of a thing.

For me this one was more entertaining than Ocean's 12 and 13.
