Watched both parts of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay last night. I'd seen part 1 before, but wanted to watch it again in advance of seeing part 2 for the first time. I loved it overall, and felt some scenes were as good as the book if not better, but a couple key scenes didn't quite work as well on screen, so while I loved it overall, it's hard to say which version I prefer.

I haven't seen 13HRS, The Reeds and Terror at Lost Lake (maybe I will), but Eden Lake was pretty good if you ask me, disturbing and shocking. I thought WWZ was poor and The Conjuring was ok, have seen better of this type. One of the last movies I saw worth mentioning is Rounders (1998) - starring Matt Damon, Edward Norton and John Malkovich amongst others; "rounders" (from what I understood) is slang for people that make a living from playing cards (poker & related) - good movie.

I just watched Bachelor Party the other night. Funny but juvenile. At the time, there was no way Tom Hanks looked like an Oscar winning actor. It was also interesting to see Tawny Kitaen before she went to the pack. She was pretty hot in her day. It's a shame what addiction, plastic surgery and spending too much time with David Coverdale can do to a person.

I've watched a few films recently:
World War Z - didn't think a lot too it. Felt like half a story. The Conjuring - enjoyed this one, though I'm not sure it completely lived up to hype I seem to recall it having. The Reeds - pretty standard supernatural horror. Enjoyable enough but would not watch again. 13Hrs - didn't like it. Found it a bit hard to really follow. Eden Lake - not my thing. Terror at Lost Lake - poor, but had potential I guess. The ending felt really cliche and cheap though.

Charlie Wilson's War - pretty good movie, nice performance from Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman, I disliked Julia Roberts performance though.

Considered a bit of a classic and one of director Mario Bava's best. I quite enjoyed it but it is a bit dated.

^ Rob Reiner is indeed a funny man. Though some of his other movies like Stand By Me were really great. Princess Bride was also very good.

Recently saw This is Spinal Tap, hilarious movie and an essential watch for any rock/metal fan. Probably one of my favorite movies up there with Yojimbo.

Yeah, it seems I need to find a better source for movie posters. Well, for now I can say the one I heavily criticized was Jupiter Ascending, and the one I really liked was the new Mad Max, which I saw in the theater yesterday.

Very interesting movie. Out of the many movies that I've seen that take place in the future, this one seems the most realistic.

This one was awesome. One of the best pure action movies I've ever seen.

21 Grams (2003) - a good movie, slightly overrated, the events are not presented chronologically and I wish they were since the story is complex IMO and there were moments in the movie I was thinking "wtf is going on" but the answers come later nonetheless.
Cake (2014) - surprinsingly good movie, Jennifer Aniston in a drama? Yet she delivered a powerful performance. I don't wanna spoil the movie with details, I warmly recommend it for those who enjoy drama (obviously). |

Just finished watching this classic horror film:
Enjoyed it, although the ending was really anti-climatic and left me underwhelmed.

^^ Although I liked it, I expected much more from it. I think that the second part is the best one of the trilogy.

This one just left me thinking that they should have cut it down to two films, as originally planned. A letdown.
