Just checked this out. Holy fucking smokes. This is a masterpiece! Maybe not metal enough for some but an outstanding mix of progressive space rock with heavy metal moments. These guys have become one of my all time favorite bands in the last few years. BRAVO!!!
To be fair though they've never been completely metal. They just swapped the black for more prog and spaced up their psych side a whole lot more.

That new Hail Spirit Noir is like cosmic gold dust. A surprising shift away from black metal that threw me on first listen but I've never heard anything else quite like it.
I started this again because I feel like giving it a scathing review, but I can never get past more than two full songs without turning it off in disgust.
Now here's a band I always feel like I should own more by. The only ones I actually have are Static Tensions and a compilation. Working my way back through the rest of Spotify again.
In my re-listen to the Pendulum discog, Immersion is definitely my least favorite, too hit or miss. However, this is still one of their best songs and makes me wish In Flames and Pendulum just grouped together considering it's one of the best songs that both bands have done.
If I say fuck two more times that's forty-six fucks in this fucked up rhyme
There was a time when I'd have reviewed this by now. But every time I think I'm getting interest in writing reviews again, I quickly lose interest. I guess I'd rather just enjoy the music than dissect it.
