Several of their albums are tagged as hard rock in RYM.

I've considered suggesting her myself. I have a few albums. They are probably eligible. They are more pop music with a hard rock delivery though. Sorta border line. Her heaviest albums were probably I Love Rock And Roll and Album. Never checked out later ones.

^ Same here. I guess that's why they're not on MMA, but I think we could add them because of "I Love Rock And Roll"... Let's see what Sharon says about this.

I'm quite busy with my paying job right now, so don't have time to listen in depth to this, but I'm happy enough for her/them (two profiles, of course) to be included based on reputation and what other sources say. Just make sure that when you add that like with The Runaways that every album really does fit and doesn't border too much on pop or something else. One like 'Album' has a three way primary of Hard Rock, Rock and Glam Rock, so may not meet our approx 60% criteria. 'Up Your Alley' may be okay for Metal Related as it has Glam Metal as secondary but do remembember that on RYM Glam Metal is not an actual metal sub-genre except in name. Most albums should be okay looking at RYM/Discogs.

^ great job! I'm just wondering if you should add the solo albums too such as the first one which is hard rock as well. My copy is called Bad Reputation but it was first released as just Joan Jett.
My question is should Joan Jett just be lumped in with JJ & the Blackhearts or should they be two separate pages.
RYM usually lumps them into one but for her they have two.

It should be two pages, as previously stated. They appear to be considered separate entities. That's if the solo albums are hard rock enough, of course. The RYM tags looks promising at least for the second album, though it does have fewer votes than the first, which does have hard rock as a co-primary. It may not meet 60% but if the other one is okay I wouldn't split hairs over tagging it as hard rock so long as it genuinely can be called a both a hard rock/garage rock album.

^ personally i think it would be silly to not have both since they are all basically joan jett albums. I own the first one. Yes, it's hard rock enough. Tracks like Bad Reputation, Do You Wanna Touch Me, Too Bad On Your Birthday are all heavy guitar rockers. There are a few ballads but i've always considered it hard rock. It's actually her best album IMHO :)
