I look forward to having the opportunity to listen to the new Carcass. Im in the process of temporarily moving a lot around with my family while we wait for our new home to be ready, so its not much new music I can listen to at the moment,

In case you haven't heard the new Carcass song "Unfit for Human Consumption".

Slightly related to this topic, Terrorizer magazine have a free digital issue available that covers the history of Earache Records.

Anyone heard this one yet? http://www.factmag.com/2013/06/30/stream-captive-bolt-pistol-from-metal-pioneers-carcasss-first-album-since-1996-surgical-steel/
I think it sounds a bit like a combination of "Necroticism" and "Heartwork". Im looking forward to this one...

I'm excited to hear that one as well. They've been pretty damn consistently excellent since their debut!

Yeah Im planning on taking the kids and the wife to Italy this summer (which will make a huge cut in my bank account), so I think Ill pass on this one too + I already have quite a few of the albums already.

Modern versions of OSDM don't get much better than this. The production does this extreme amounts of justice. In my own words as a title for a draft review that has gone unfinished for quite a long time (and will probably stay that way for a while longer thanks to school work so don't be expecting): "Azrael's Pimped-out Steamroller".

I used to be a fan of Soilwork, but only for a short period of time. They bore me a little today...which doesnt mean I cant hear the qualities of their music and why they appeal to other people...

^ I listened to it tonight. Double CD was too long for me. Would think there's a very good CD worth of material. It is better than TPB but is not their best. However I would stress I am not a 'fan' of this style so your opinion could very well be different. 3-3.5/5 after one listen
