This jewel finally arrived after close to two months. 

I can't believe that in three years since it was originally released I'm still the only one here to have rated this.

You know most of the criticisms I'm seeing aimed at this don't make any sense to me. What Travis said about the story, sure, that I get, but otherwise I'm seeing a load of statements that contradict each other like 'it's not enough like The Source / it's too like The Source'.  It's like different people are hearing completely different albums. 

Or other people saying things that don't make any sense based on the actual content of the album like it being too long and bloated (it's the shortest Ayreon 2CD, only just requiring it be one) and talking about dragged out instrumental passages when most of these tracks are short and to the point, especially for a prog album. 

Also apparently the lyrics not being in the CD and Vinyl was a screw up and not intentional. Arjen posted an apology for it online a few hours ago. 

Just making sure I haven't lost my love for Ayreon, after Transitus, and...... NOPE! The first track alone is a million times better than even the best tracks on the new album, tbh. That one just feels like a bigger letdown to me the more I think about it.
