Bloodbath's announcement of their new album has me very hyped. As much as I love Akerfeldt's growls, Nick Holmes' gravelly snarls give Bloodbath a much dirtier, more menacing sound which I find fits their tone perfectly.

The joke song from Grave Digger's new album, though I think it's actually quite clever The album on whole seems possibly better than Return of the Reaper, after three listens so far. It's certainly very good.

New Grave Digger:
Bloody fantastic, imo. They may finally win a duel against Rebellion, based on how disappointing their album was earlier this year.

I went for the CD in the end. I wasn't going to pay those prices. |

For us non-audiophiles, a tenner for a CD is enough Order for the Yob album placed this morning.

I've been paying less attention to new releases myself on account of the fact I get too tempted to spend too much money when I check out too much stuff.

I'm always looking to buy something new but upcoming releases that I want are a bit thin on the ground at the moment. I do want that new Yob album though. I'd prefer it on vinyl but not for £30 which is the cheapest i can find it.

That should be interesting.
No details have been announced yet, but Ashes of Ares have just announced that their second album will be out later this year, which is exciting news. I'm always game for a new metal album with Matt Barlow.

http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/progenie-terrestre-pura/starcross(ep) Called an EP but said to almost be worth calling a full album, so I imagine that this is reasonably substantial.
