Thought this would be an interesting topic to start, as there are quite a few intros to songs that just instantly reel me in. Here's a couple of my favorite intros:
Metallica - Fight Fire With Fire (Everyone should know this one, so I won't slow the loading down with an extra video.) That intro is absolutely stunning live! Steve Harris has never sounded better. I love sample intros, like this: That one blew me away the first time I heard it. And this is another favourite intro. So slow and menacing, but you just know something's going to happen... |

I love it when thrash bands slow it down, the contrast between the speed and slowness makes it sound all the more menacing. One reason why South of Heaven is so menacing.
