Yet another nearly impossible poll.
For me it's a big tie between Judas Priest, Slayer, Annihilator, Megadeth, and Anthrax. I'm going to have to think about this one.

Blind Guardian - Tales from the Twilight World but since it was not included (?!?)...guess I'll vote for Painkiller as a second choice.

Wow even more of my favorites on this list. I thought I would have voted Psychotic Waltz, but then I saw Seasons in the Abyss, and I couldn´t help myself. Yes I admit it, I´m an incurable Slayer fanboy

very honorable mentions
Sodom Tankard Pantera Forbidden Saxon Yngwie Malmsteen Obituary Doro Boulevard Cinderella Magnum Dio Black Sabbath Death and many others you can mention others as well, especially in the hard rock/heavy/doom territory, even some thrash (I might learn something new). I actually thought twice before going on with the 90s because some subgenres will be left out as I listen to (very) little extreme metal bands/albums. So that's why they are not there. Someone knowledgeable with these extreme genres should take care of that I guess. So for the fun of it, vote and briefly (or not) explain your choice. |
